Western Magnesite Company was started in 1961 by Phillip Green.  This business was created to provide a service to repair Magnesite on the many apartment buildings in Los Angeles.

Bernard Fainstein bought the business in 1998.  He has built this business from a small company servicing the Property Management Industry, into an industry leader providing waterproof deck coatings, concrete resurfacing and stairway repair, to the top production homebuilders in Southern California.

Bernard has been in the service industry for the better part of his working career.  He understands the importance of customer service, quality workmanship and last but not least customer loyalty.  As a result 90% of Western Magnesite’s customer base is a result of repeat business and referrals by our customers.
